Request for help with BBC production of a film marking 50 years since

the 1967 Sexual Offences Act

BBC in-house are working on a new BBC Two film marking 50 years since the passage of the 1967 Sexual Offenses Act. They want to get in touch with gay men who have memories of the period before private sexual acts between gay men were legalised.

The film will use a mixture of drama and personal testimonies about pre-1967 to create what it was like to live as a gay man in the shadow of the law and the associated social attitudes. They are particularly interested in romantic relationships, experiences with the police, courts and the psychiatric profession.
